Ride Quality??

Ride Quality??
Does anyone have any problems with the ride quality of the new F-150. A friend of the family has a new FX4 and it is unbearable to ride in, they even have drove Lariets. Does anyone else notice this, or is it a personal issue?? They are going as far as importing specials seats from Australia.

I have an XLT, but before I brought my truck, I also test drove the FX4...The fx4 does ride a little bit rougher, due to the fact its's made for the off road and needs a stiffer suspension. I didn't go for the fx4 since theres no need where I live to go off road anywhere. The Lariet along with the other trims besides the fx4 have the same suspension and ride the same..the only exeption is the fx4....I mean the fx4 doesn't ride to much stiffer then the other trims so I don't know why anyone would think it's unbearable to ride in? I mean it's on off road truck, do u expect it to ride like a Lincoln Town Car? The point is, theres a differnce in the ride between the fx4 and other trims, but not that much different to go out of th way to get new seats, thats just crazy.

I have an FX$ and my friend has the Lariet so I have riden a lot in both. The Lariet is a "softer" ride than the FX4 but isn't that drasticly different and the FX4 certainly isn't unbearable. You must have other problems if the ride is that bad. Like MJ said it isn't a town car but it is the best riding truck I have ever had over the years.

Hello everyone, I'm new to this site but I have been reading for a few weeks. I have a black 04 FX4 SCAB and love my truck (I'll post pics ASAP). My FX4 rides awesome, but I do have one complaint. I'm guessing the person who started this post is talking about seat comfort, not ride quality. My drivers front seat has a bar going across the middle that is putting my legs to sleep. I went to the dealer and they are talking to a Ford rep to find out what they can do. Does anyone else have this problem???

BTW I didn't notice the FX4 was that much firmer than my Lariat in it's ride quality.

I thought it rode nice, but I haven't ridden in it lately. They said that new tires helped some, but still has a horrid vibration. It is his wifes pickup, and she got out of a 00-01 pickup, spec'd clost to the same. I asked why they got the FX4 if they didn't like the ride?? I can't see how it would be that bad, but if it is, there is something deff. wrong.

My '04 FX4 ride very good, yes it rides stiffer than '99 F150 2x4 But I love driving and riding in it. Rides alot nicer than my '83 F250 HD 4x4.
