hi people i have an 79 ford f250 and a 81 ford f250 and the engine in the 79 is shot can i swap the engine i think the engine in the 79 is a 351w so how hard will this be work or if it can't be done then will the rear end from the 79 fit in the 81 and also do you have to unbolt the rear end from the leafspring or take the leaf spring with the rear end

the 4.9 is a 300 six. you will have to get the proper motor stands from the right vintage pickup,65-79, 240-300, and 360-390. the radiator is different than the one on the 81. i beleive the rearend would interchange. probably be easier to change the rear than the motor.

i want to thank you for your time and i believe also the rear end would be easier also do i need to take the rear end off the leaf springs or take the leaf springs with the rear end
