i own (2003 Screw F-150 V.8 4.6L, 4x2 (completely stock)) my door panel shows to run the tires with the front being 30 PSI and the back being 35 PSI, well when i went to go get my oil changed recently the guy at city-garage said to run all of the tires at 35 so the truck is evened out with weight and all, should i leave it at 35 and 35 or set the psi to the ford recommended on the door panel???
What is the recommended psi listed on the tire sidewall? I'd go by that in most cases.
Also, look for any wear patterns in the tread that might indicate under- or over-inflation. The tires that came stock with my '01 were junk (General). What is on your rig?
Follow the door sticker, unless you are using tires with a different load rating than the factory tires. Ford, particularly post-Firestone+Explorer, spends a lot of time determing the best compromise between load carrying, handling and ride quality when recommending a tire pressure.
