I like BFG Mud Terrains and thats what I use but then they arnt quiet. They arnt too loud but you can definately hear them and you can also feel the knobbies in the steering and ride a little. I like them a lot but it sounds like you need more of a street tire.

My GoodYear Wranglers were quiet and rode well for about 30K miles. Now they are very loud.

I am particularly interested in the Bridgestone Dueller Revos. Does anyone have experience with these at 30K+ miles on them. Do they remain quiet for the life of the tire?

ya know i really think firestone got a bad rap on their tires as it was really the consumers fault for not maintaining the air pressure, tires are actually a good tire and don't cup like the goodboots

I have 285/75R16 BFG A/T on my 01. They have been great.

After working in the tire shops for about 5 years, I would never run GoodYear or Michellins.

If you can bear the noise, just do it and wear the tires out. If not I would go with the BFG's or the Bridgestone Duelers.

Responding to ews54: Your tires are considerably larger in diameter than the originals. Usually this will result in BETTER mileage, since it lowers the number of wheel revolutions per mile. However, your odometer can only figure miles based on the number of those wheel revolutions, so it will show fewer miles than you've actually traveled.

In other words, you may be getting better mileage than you think.

I had my 98 F150 tires replaced 25K ago with Bridgestone Dueller Revos. They're really great, how its about half way left on the thread. Still rides smooth, I go off road often during hunting trips and seasonal camping trips. I'm pleased with them and I would buy them again the next time. They're kind of pricey but IMO, they're worth every penny.

I have the wrangler's
They acually "Pump" when I drive. I looked at them and noticed flat spots about two treads long on them, Their not cupped, they have been rotated 3 times. the Truck has 25,700 miles on it. These are by far the worst tires and are over rated.
I will go to Michellin soon.
