Question dome light

Hey all I was wondering how to wire in the dome light. I have the wires ran, now all I need to know is how do the wires come into the light. Does it come in thru the sides, behind the bulb or what. If any one can run out to their truck and look for me that would be great.

i just went out and looked on my 76 F-150, i popped off the cover and there werent any wires inside at all, just two long metal rungs that the light snapped into on each end, the rungs are screwed down at the ends into the corner screws that hold the whole case in place....i hope i havent lost you, i didnt take it any furthur apart but from what i can tell the wires are connected on the back side of the casing where the two rungs connect....thats my guess anyway......the bulb is a long narrow type that a little wire sticks out either end, and those are the contact points that connect to the metal rungs.........sounds just as confusing as it looked to me in the cold........

Now I was wondering if there is a grommet to insulate the power from the cab. Does any one know the answer here.

Do you have a cargo light as well ?
They are different when a cargo light is involved.

Just Dome light has a little flat connector for a screw to got through, this flat piece also clips into the roof part of the body then the dome light body is screwed to it.

my wiring harness is all brand new from centech. I have the wires ran to the light I just do not know where to terminate them. Do I do it on a screw on the inside of the cab or do I use insulation and do it in between the cab and the bed. Thanx for your help Mil1ion.

wires

Oh I forgot for wires I have one that comes from the light switch and two from the doors that are spliced in. My cargo light will be wired seperately. I hope.
