1) used - For example, swap out a pass. window spur gear into the driver's regulator.
2) new - buy them brand new for $150-$200 per side.
3) fab - Buy 1973-1979 window regulators for $30 each, swap out some parts and with some welding you have new regulators. Search on my username and see how I welded some up. Not hard at all with a MIG welder and you do not need that much heat.
Thanks rebocardo. Your tip gave me just the excuse I needed to go out and buy a new welder. I have an anchient Lincoln stick, but I have been itching to get updated to a wire feed. Now I have incentive as I happen to have a matched set of 73-79 doors that came as part of the package deal for my '67. once the procedure is complete I will be giving a full report w/ pictures. again thanks.
You are welcome. The nice thing is once you swap over, if you ever need a gear again, all you have to do is order another regulator and swap out the gear. Yea, I do think an ARC welder might be too hot. I started off at about what I would do for 1/8 metal and ended up turning the heat and wire speed down a lot.
