Yesterday I finally made the time to do some work on my ’68 F100.
After several frustrations from the garage that is wide enough but not deep enough, the headers being in the way, smacking my head on the hood latch and a few others I just called it quits. I backed it out very frustrated.
Then driving around last night I saw creetwarrior in Tux and all was right in the world again. I have yet to meet creetwarrior but sometime I hope our paths will cross.
I apologize for the rambling but I know I can come to this forum and rant with others that can in some way relate. I think yesterday was just a bad day working on the truck.
Now I am going to go out and cruise around in my truck a little while.
Hey skiziks, that's pretty cool that you saw me cruising around then came on FTE and found me here, LOL! Oh, was I passing any Chevy's at the moment you saw me? If I wasn't you probably just missed me passing one or two....... or three! Ok ok, I'm just playin...........kinda.
Sounds a little like my weekend. I have three broken exhaust manifold bolts on my passenger side of my 68f100 w/360 on top that are sheared even. I tried removing them this weekend and ended up breaking off one of the ears on the head and breaking off the extractor in another. I wanted to do it right but I had to get it running again and now it is rigged yet again. I did get my pertonix installed and managed to rig the exhuast so it is not leaking at the moment. All in all not a total loss but very frustrating.
