I need to know
This truck seems like it is one of a kind; as for the frame, how much it weights and what it can hold espeically, the engine that was put in it, the fuel systems it has, and how cheap I bought it here in BC Canada.
I plan on contracting out this flatbed dump truck for any kinds of work for a flatdeck. Its an old farm truck and it has many farmers fixes on here, so
finding all the facts about this truck will totally give me a great blueprint plan to build on as you will see. Here is what I do know and the basic problems I perfere to be fixed. Its a 1980 Ford 2WHDR Dump FlatDeck(12L x 8W)Fur , Gas and Natural Gas
Front Axle Weight 1290KG Rear Axle Weight 1850KG = 3140KG Total
400 Cleveland stock Engine (Year ?) and a 93 C6 Transmission.
And I believe 75` exhaust manifold.
I'm really glad I got a 400 cleveland in this truck than a 429 or 460 for more of a low end torque. I just wish it had more HP for the natural gas becuase it seems to slow for travel or even any light hauling. Now this probelm could be that it is a stock engine, but the 1 Barrel carburator has been messed with. Its fule jets had been overly openned up with a drill and now it has hardend brass in there to close it up so i don't suck in as much gas.
Is there 1 barrel carburators that suck down natural gas well or should I just get a new or used carburator? Will this let a crisp flow of gas and natural gas in my motor if I do this? I have to stick
to 1 Barrel carb more my natural gas mixer.
That is my main probelm for now but I'll show oyu my other specs if you can tell me alittle more. Any information is much apperciated.
This truck I bought has been incompetly manufactured by

I was hoping if you guys knew if this 1 and 1/2 Ton Ford Truck
is one of a kind in its frame and suspension. Are there any other versions of 1980 Ford Trucks that have a higher GVWR than 4535?
What is an F379?
What is my front axle?
Should I get a rear axle for 10000lbs than 7400lbs for my GVWRof 10000
As for my Engine I do know it is a 400 cleveland but I don't know what year.
from the numbers I found on the top of the manifold.
18726548 with the # 15 on the top rihgt of it.
The exhaust manifold says D5AE-9491 -AB
a 75 exhaust manifold which I think is on a 77 400 cleveland but I'm not sure. I think thast what the guy told me.
As for my natural gas system it was ceritified in 1971 in Canada
go figure.
I hope to do out the engine and exhaust for an awsome working machine. it could dump tow carry cars pipe and other industrial items all under 1 and a half tons in weight. A very cool truck.
I just need a winch too
ThanksBall
