I've heard out there that on some trucks the wiring was very bad. i think it's mainly due to previous owners screwing around with wiring repair. in my experience our truck's wiring is pretty reliable as long as you keep everything neat and away from heat, sharp corners, etc. offcourse there are the usuall random component failures, starters, starter soleniods, voltage regulators, and most of the senders eventually fail. so far i've had to replace all of these and have yet to touch the original harness for anything other than adding components. And, if you do plan on istalling anything like brighter headlights, more powerfull stereo, ect. expect to install relays, a larger battery and a higher output alternator, eventually.
