Run that 5.4...............
I had posted on here earlier on my sick 5.4. I have a 2001 SC that has 50,000 miles. My truck was smoking on startups and consuming oil. I read on this forum to run these engines. I started drining the s&%*#@ out of it hoping to either fix the problem or blow it up. My truck quit consuming oil and doesnt smoke anymore. Ford trucks are built Ford tough. They are meant to be driven. So my adivse is to drive them hard.
, I did. Kids love it when I go blasting through the mud and it gives a great place to "drive it like a truck."

That's always been my philosophy.... I convinced my buddy of that when he had trouble putting his '95 camaro in reverse. Adviced him to beat on it it a little and she slide into revese w/o a hint of trouble after 5 minutes of abuse.
