1981 f-150 wiring problem
I sold a 1981 ford 4x4 with a 302, but before I sold it to him the ole 351 windsor had a wee engine fire problem and that produces some problems in the electrical system
1. when you press the brake pedal both the brake lights and the cab lights light up
2. when you turn on the left hand signal light the cab lights go on and blink with the signal light the dome light will also blink with the signal light
3. when the hazard lights are on both the dome light and the cab lights flash and a buzzer goes on and off with the hazards
Can anyone tell me what color of wires I am supposed to look for
i.e. a red wire for the signal lights
any help would be great thanx

1978 F-150 Custom turned into a dune buggy 300-I6 4 speed
Im a typical teen, i just have to change it!

I would look for the classic bad ground problem most of these trucks have at the rear taillamps. If the rear bulbs are not grounded correctly, either from a dirty frame connection or a dirty socket, the current from the signal/brake circuit will flow backwards through the running light circuit and make all kinds of crazy things happen.
