Not tried them personally, but two of my friends run them on their trucks. One of them has the 21/44-15s on his 78 F-150 and they are some good lookin' tires (if you're into the giant car tire on a truck look..I'm not). They are super quiet and ride reasonably smooth after balancing. They are wearing well too, especially since he's not nice to it at all and is contantly going from 0-90 as fast as he can (blown 400).
The other kid got 38/15.5-17 radials and although they don't look as good (side lugs don't stick out...looks weird) they ride great and are QUIET!! I don't know how many miles he has on 'em but they seem to be holding up well behind the highest HP Cummins in town.
Personally, I believe that in very shallow mud, they'd be equal to BFG A/Ts because of the narrow tread voids that tend to pack up quickly. The BIAS tires have those sidewall lugs that look like paddles...probably help in the deeper stuff. Sidewall strength is pobably where the TRXUS would be superior...I'm not at all impressed with BFG sidewalls (LOOOOONG STORY).

i had a buddy that ran them (the 44" flavor) and i didn't like them all that much. i mean i know they are for running on the street and lasting a long time but i always thought that the whole point in lifting trucks and running big meats were meant to get dirty and play of the asphalt. he tried going through the mildest mud hole i have in my backyard and he had to spin'em 70mph to sling anything. they sure don't grab all that much
ok cause the mud terrains are supposed to be good on mud and snow and ice, but with good street tread wear as well... and the STS's look pretty steller with there very uniqe tread design and they are supposedley good on street and pretty good anywhere else, including rock crawlin, considering its supposed to be an AT tire, it looks like it would be better than a BFG AT.
I am more of a weekend wheeler, and use my 87 bronco2 as a daily driven truck. ide be mainly using it in snow, sand, and possibly rocks. and mudd wherever its in the way. i wouldnt be using it mainly for mud though, mainly sand and snow (and some rocks).
A lot of jeep folks run the 33" and have had quite good success with them on rocks. A little bit worse wear than BFG MT, but the compund is softer, so that is expected.
I run the MT's on my tow truck ('78 F-250 4x4) 33-12.5's and occasionally on the back of my daily driver when needed ('76 F-150 2x4) 31-10.5's and love them. Smooth, quiet and as good as I need for street driven mud tires. Great in snow. They have alot of sipes to make them quiet. BFG's are a rough ride due to harder material and loud. Only had them for a year. Wearing evenly so far.
I can't comment on the AT other then I hate the looks of them. Most of the feedback that I have read on them are they are great on the road and that is about it.
I run the MT on my Range Rover as a DD and off roader. They are probably the best ice, snow, mud tire that I have run. The Trxus MT's replaced BFG AT KO's that I had on the Rover. Those were great on ice and snow, but sucked in the mud. I had over 60,000 miles on the BFG's when I took them off and put the Trxus on. My guess is the Trxus is a better tire for how I use my Rover, but will not give me the mileage the BFG's did.
I have the BFG MT KM's on my SD and I think they ride better on the road then the Trxus, but I think the Trxus out performs the BFG on the ice, snow, and mud. Hope that helps you.
I don't have experience with the TRXS either, but for a $100. cheaper a tire, rebel is right , I have driven on ice snow & powdery sand & mud the Niito's rock, can't talk about milage, but even if I get 30K I'll buy them again, let me know if you go with the TRXS though, the look great, also no noise AT ALL with the Nitto's, I was shocked
