Low geared posi diff
Hi, I own a '79 F- 250 2wd and am looking for a really low geared posi rear end. I have a 300 straight six. How many different options are there? Currently I have a complete rear end from a '74 camper special in the truck that is low geared but only has one drive tire. Can I simply replace the axel sleaves? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

The rear axle is likely a Dana 60 if the truck you got it from was a 3/4-ton. There are alot of gear ratios available for the Dana 60, and traction differentials as well. To learn more about traction differentials, search this site for topics on 'lockers' and 'limited slips', or visit the websites below. There is also plenty of gearing information on those sites.
