i ordered a set of radius arm bushings and for some reason when i installed them they did not seat correctly. i need to know what all is supposed to be there. the only thing that was there is, the two piece bushing, and two washers. (one on each end of the bushing) any help is greatly appreciated!!!
That sounds like a complete set, but you're not the first to complain of it. I've seen some suggest that you put both the old and new washers on to stiffen up the bushing and take up some of the excess play.
there were no new washers. any suggestions on pulling the axle forward enough to redo this?? also, the sway bar bushing brackets were on wrong.one was leaning toward the front and the other toward the rear. which way is correct?? by the way thanks for any info on the front end!!!!! this is my first 4x4. thanks!!!

I'll have to keep an eye on this thread! It sounds a little like what mine's doing- my passenger side front wheel is sitting like 5/8" farther back than the drivers side and rubs in turns.
i have figured out my problem. the bushing kit that i ordered did not have the spacer with it. the moron who attempted to replace them before evidently forgot to put them back in during installation. now the fun part is trying to find just the spacer.
spacer? they should have two bushings and a washer on each side. as far as an easy way to get them out, grind off the rivet heads and pop them out. then put them back in with grade 8 bolts and nuts, use lock washers too.

Irony of ironies! Someone already did that to mine!
So, in theory, could a person just use longer bolts w/ appropriately thick spacers to bring the wheel forward again?
yep a spacer bushing. the company that i got the bushings from found two of them for me at the local ford dealer. only about 4 bucks a piece.from front to back it goes washer, bushing, frame mount, spacer, bushing, washer, nut. sounds kinda hard but its worth it. i can tell a big difference. if you have any questions i will gladly help. i now have lots of experience, having done this two or three times!!
