Well I thought the day would never come but it's finally arrived. Usually when I get my Offroad mag in the mail I just toss it straight in the trash because I don't really care how to change the air filter on a 04 Ram or how to "chip" a Tacoma. But just for the heck of it I flipped through it. You've got your regular stupid blinged out trucks, what sort of coilovers were new at SEMA, 1000 pages of adds, the new Nissan Titan write up, and then WHAM!!! All of a sudden I stumbled across gold! Well, not gold to me but still a sign that there might just be a little bit of usefulness in this mag yet, besides starting a patio fire. There's an article about how to REMOVE a body lift!!! I couldn't believe it. I would have been surprised to see these guys talk about anything that involved more than wing nuts. But here it is, grinders and wrenches even!!! Plus they're actually suggesting that people scrap their body lifts! Oh I'm so excited . . .
wow, they must have had lots of pictures if you actually looked at it
Even I can laugh at that one Bee . . . so true. The only reason I noticed the article is because they have a shot in there of the cab put back on the frame with the box on the body lift. It looked funnnaaay ghetto so I had to see what it was all about.
body lifts have their place....to fit bigger tires on for wheelin....esp when you just need an inch or two...the guys in off road tho have like 6" of body lift...which is stupid i never buy that crap anymore...just peterson 4wheel and four wheelin.
I don't buy any of them any more if I wanted to know how to build a rock crawler then maybe, and if I was interested in a chebbie I would go to the mall, but for mud the best tech is my own.
Because it's cheaper to just slap a quick body lift on....but That ain't happening here...I ahve decided to do an sas for 6" of functional lift. with 35's....
I heard that Offroad Magazine removed them so they could install the new incab air adjustable body lift by RONCO. Body lift on the fly OH MY!
Damn, where's the sarcasm font. I still don't know if you're joking and talking about the RONCO infomercial company or if they are seriously going to do this. Knowing Offroad Mag there's a pretty good chance you're not joking.
maybe it had something to do with my emails telling them they didn't know squat about mud racing, and that if they didn't believe me I would challange any of thier trucks to a side by side race.
