These two appear on eBay quite often... I can afford both, but the the more expensive one says on the box "For professional use only" - I can only assume this means not good for the daily driver? What do you experts think about this?
I looked at doing this mod quite extensively awhile ago, but I opted for a tuner instead...but if I were to do this mod, I'd definately go with the bottom one.
I wonder if there are any real advantages to installing a shift kit instead of just changing settings with a tuner? Other than price I guess.
The "for professional use only" kit might not come with as good of instructions as a kit made for "non professionals". They might assume that a professional would know what valve is what etc.
I've always heard that when you change the settings with a tuner that you are just more or less turning up the line pressure on the tranny and that can be a little harder on the transmissions compared to a shift kit.
I have the transgo kit on my truck and love it. Shifts are firm but not to firm. I'm not sure really what the differances are between the two kits but I would opt to go with the second one. It probably comes with all the drill bits and stuff you need. My Kit had a video with that helped out a bunch with the install. The Transgo has a few more parts than most shift kits but it is a much better kit than the rest. IMO
***EDIT*** The first kit doesn't look like it comes with gaskeats from what I can tell. ???
