Too Cold A/C?

'97 F350 crew cab,4x4, 351. Yesterday removed my blower to check condition of fan, seemed to be low on volume of air movement with A/C on. Upon inspection found both fan blades and evaporator clogged with junk. Cleaned both and installed, fired up A/C, now temp. at vents around 35 degrees. Clutch would disengage every 10 sec. or so before cleaning, now it never disengages. Is this OK/normal? Any advise would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Now that you are getting more air over the evaporator it has less of a tendency to ice up, which is why the compressor cycles. Also, while 35 degrees is great you really need to compare outlet temperature to ambient air temperature as a differential of at least 50 degrees. Example - if your in car temperature, the air drawn over the evaporator is 95 degrees, then outlet temperature should be about 45 degrees or lower. Is your ambient air temperature, given the 35 degree reading, about 85 degrees?
