When I did mine I did not have the book and when I looked at the rack from the front I was thinking that it was bolted into the frame. Well only after braking off my wrench trying to brake the bolt loose did I find the nut on the back side of the crossmember. Also as you replace the rack don't forget the tierod ends. I replaced the pump and hoses at the same time so there would be no used oil in the system.
