Header question
I kind of have a problem. Seems I bought a set of headers made for a 2wd 78 pickup. Here's my question. will these work a 4wd and how?

Someone posted here a long time back about a similar situation and of course there's different factors like the truck model and engine, etc. Anyhow if I remember right the problem was they'll hit your frame. But there's only 1 way to know for sure.

I don't think they will work correctly by 2 counts, the frame and the T-case. Get the right set for your truck and you will have less of a headache. I think headman makes a nice fenderwell header for the 351M/400 motor.

ok ive tried this before, they will not work at all hit the frame and cross member. i know they wont fit though. tried for like a day to get those things in finally took them back and slipped the 4x4 one right in i wasnt very happy. since they sold me the wrong ones in the first place.

hooker super comps hit the frame on my 2wd too. thats with a 460 though. nothing a little notching don't take care off.

ok i had this problem with my truck u can either take them back or when u have the rest of the exhaust put on u bed the pipes down under the cross member.
