Define "old cab and clip" if your referring to 67-79 ya I can probably locate on for you I saw a sweet 76 truck yesterday "texas truck " no rust guy bought it for the motor rest is sitting there ..
That would probably work. I was thinkin 40's, 50's. She LOVE the look of the early 50's Chevy's, but I'll be danged if I'm gonna invest that much time and effort into a Chevy body. I can get a 52 3-ton Chevy cab and clip for $200, but I don't want Chevy. I LOVE the mid-70's body lines, and also the Ford from Sanford and Son. How much you think he wants for rest of the '76?
Thanks 460 ... According to my girlfriend I can use all the help I can get BTW ... I went outside of Anna, IL and bought Bill's 51 F-2 yesterday and got some CHOICE parts off of another '51 junker he had.. Later.

mmmm mine say the same thing for the last 10 years
glad I could help you located another old pick'up... might come to see you in 3 weeks... (next two weekend s are booked or I'm told
Mommudder I'll check it out fer you whatchya sitting it on? I know it's a chevy but I really like the looks of them ol 51 chevy trucks
My long term project is a stage 2 monster truck. Aluminum flatbed and ???? cab. Wife wants to ride it to our anniversary in 5 years, so that gives me 5 years to build it.
havent looked still greving over the lost of the last one (i had got it running and was using it when they decide to scrap it!!!!!) we have them around here alot (logging country) if I run across one I'll let ya know
Man, PLEASE do. I can't find one anywhere for under $4k. Even the one from govliquidation.com are 2500 bucks, and there's aren't any guarantees on those. I'm trying to make connections with guys at Whiteman and Fort Leonard Wood to see if they can track me down one, and maybe 1000 gallons of JP8...
Now Mudder ... If the JP8 don't work jus' brang it down in the general direction of 460 and I and we'll scare up some moonshine likker fur it BTW ... That '51 F-2 that I bought in Southern Illinois Tuesday, and am gonna' part out; came out of the factory as a flat bed "stake truck". It has 8 lugs on all 4 wheels. You think maybe it might be muddin' material ? Maybe it's gotta beefed up suspension and heavier rack on it Later.
How is the body on it? Not sure if a vehicle with that antiquated of a drivetrain would be any good for mudding, but if the body is good, it'd be a GREAT transplant to put on a 78-79 truck with a shot cab, kinda like the one I've got now with a 91 Chevy body on it...I was lookin around for an old body for it, but didn't come across anythig decent in my price range.
BTW, Paul - got your message, just been busier than a 1 armed paper-hanger lately.

what ya needing in the way of a body? I have a good cab and clip on a 77 3/4 2wd frame. The cab has a small area of rust that isn't that bad a fix. Unfortunately the box isn't the greatest, repairable if you wanted to spend the time and money.
