I am looking into converting my '78 F250 2WD to duel rear wheel and was wondering if any one here has any experience/advice with this swap. Thanks in advance
My Dad did this way back when with his '77. Seems like he just had to install larger lugs to use bud wheels and that was it, don't remember for sure. They do sell dually conversion kits on the net, usually around $400.
A guy up my street converted his 1990 Ford, whatever kit he used he was able to use the standard wheels all around, lookes strange to have dual wheels without bud rims. He then put on a standard dually box.
I'd like to know about this too, it's something I might want to do one of these days.
