Usually bad fuel or winter fuel. Does the truck sound louder(injectors) or more sluggish. I know the one time i got bad fuel my injectors were louder than normal and a loss in performance. My milage sucks now that i'm running winter fuel. Try getting fuel at a differant station next time.
Winter fuel makes a huge difference. Also letting your truck idle for 10-15 minutes every morning doesn't help. I've noticed the same thing as well. I was averaging close to your 17mpg in the summer, and now, around 14.

Yup its the winter fuel than. My 99 got 17-18 in the summer now i'm down to about 13-14 as well. Same story with my dads 2000 and his 98 E350. Once they start summer fuel again you should go back to normall. P.S. Driving habits are still the same!
Been doing some testing on mileage lately. My first test was 600 miles, 84 mph, 24k rpm, no chip, no fuel additive, got 10.5 mpg. Second test 600 miles, 67 mph, 19k rpm, chip in, fuel additive, got 17.5 Third test, 600 miles, 84 mph, 24k rpm, chip in, fuel additive, got 16.5 mpg. Next test will be chip out, fuel additive in. That will tell me for sure if the additive is improving my mileage but, from what I hear, chips don't really help mileage that much.
Drove down to Arkansas and back. Cruse set at 67 on Speedo (75 actual per GPS). Going down I averaged 9.5 to 10.5 MPG on the two fillups. Coming back up for some reason I got 14.8 to 15.5 MPG. I do not know if Arkansas has winter blend or not. Now that I am back up in Illinois, I am getting again about 10 MPG.
winter fuel has less parrafin (what gels up) and lower btu rating so less power and economy. thats why winter fuel seems thinner than summer. arkansas probably dosnt run winter fuel, or less of a blend at least
