Anybody put a aftermarket steering wheel in their truck? I wanted to put in a foam grip wheel in mine and was wondering if any of you guys have a recommendation. I am trying to figure out the diameter and distance away from the steering column. I dont think I need the wheel to come out any further than the stock wheel does already.

JZJames do you have power steering?? If not I wouldn't go any smaller then 14.5 inch dia. for comfort in turning.

 

What color is your stock steering wheel,im looking for a green one.

 

Mines white, and I refinished with epoxy paint. I'll keep it on hand when I put the aftermarket one on. Ive seen those green ones in the junkyard, but usually the color is worn. You shoud check out the refinishing options (kits) etc. for availability of colors. Jz

 

I have the 3 spoke SS foam grip wheel from *MC. Same dish as original, but smaller in diameter and comfy to hold on to. It even has the Ford emblem on horn button. J*G's sells what looks like the same wheel, but no Ford emblem and cheaper than what I paid.
