I am planning on rebuilding a C6 to go behind a 400 and mate up to a 205 Tcase in a 78 F150. I found a few different performance rebuild kits and wanted to see if anyone had any experience with raybestos red clutches. I found a kit that includes these clutches and the steel plates as well as seals and gaskets for 90 bucks. For another 50, I can get a transgo shift kit with it. I found one online that includes alto red clutches and the steel plates as well as kevlar band for 175. A shift kit will cost a little more. Can anyone offer any suggestions as to which kit is the one to go with? The truck will be driven by my father who will use the truck on the street under normal driving conditions about 95% of the time. He goes to the beach about three times a year and will probably only turn on the 4wd to go pull me out when I get my F250 stuck doing stupid s**t.
