the latch on my center console broke. 91 bronco. Its the style with the two buttons on either side you push together. I can't seem to find another and im not to thrilled about replacing the entire console. Especially with one of the ugly huge metal lock boxes i keep finding.
Broncograveyard doesn't carry them.
I ordered one from a dealer for $14. I had to put my key and cylinder into it, but that was easy.
PS - when I ordered it and got the receipt, it was listed as Ford part "cat ***". I thought that was pretty funny. When I went to pick it up, I walked in and announced that I was there for my "cat ***". They thought that I was nuts until I showed them my receipt.
The glove box latch for a early 90s Cherokee is the same latch used on our Broncos.
I have an 89 Bronco and a 91 Cherokee - because I had nothing better to do one weekend, I looked at the two latches (both broken at the time) and they are the same. As long as you take your time, it's not too difficult to swap out the key cylinders.
Just passing this on in case your local junk yard has some Cherokees.
Another thing about the Cherokee latch is that if you use the striker, you can add a light in your console. I have one in my Bronco, but I haven't wired it up yet. It looks like its going to work good though. I found this out because the latch was broke on mine and the striker was gone. The parts from a wrecked Cherokee fit perfect.

do a search in this forum for it. I forget who, but one of the members designed their own center console and it looked really cool. I know it's not a latch answer, but it's another idea
