Overload springs - noisy?

Overload springs - noisy?
I got my 2005 F250 a couple of months ago. It has the camper package which gives me the overload springs. Since new, when empty my truck makes a "thump" noise coming from the back everytime I hit a considerable bump. I suspect that it might be the overload springs hitting the "sitting brackets" that makes this noise. Anyone else have this expereince or know if it's normal for this noise to occur?

I too get the "thump" noise in my 2004 SD with the camper package, although I only get the "thump" when I am making a turn and hit a bump or when the truck is flexing (not taking the hill or driveway straight on) on on odd hill or steep driveway. It really hasn't bothered me too much or seem to be a big problem but I would like to know what is causing it and if there is a fix for it
