20's or 22's

i have a 2005 f250 with 8 1/2 inches of lift i am looking to get some 40's, my only dilemma is i am stuck on getting a 22 inch wheel or a 20. if it was you what would you get?? i think the 22's on 40x15.50 nitto mud grapplers would be one of a kind. what do you think??

I would go with the 22's if that is the size tire you are going with. I went with 20" on my 05 with 35x12.50x20 Toyo MT

FWIW, I know a guy who sold his 38/15.50R18 Mud Grapplers on 18x12s for a pretty good loss with less than 4000 miles on them so he could get 38/15.50R18 Toyo Open Country MTs. He said that the Toyos ride way better......and he even had taken his Mud Grapplers to get trued, I guess before they were trued they rode pretty bad.
I've only seen the 40" Toyos for 22s....but heard of a 20" wheel version possibly getting released some time.

I believe both....which is why he had them trued, at which point I was told they rode much better but still made a good bit of noise. He like the Toyo MTs better and as far as I know didn't have them trued....no need to.
