Hi, I would first like to say this site has helped me soooo much already.I just bought my first ford and my first diesel,(i have always had chevy gas)I love the diesel. However i have had two problems in the two or three mounths i`ve had it.It`s a 95 f350 crew cab psd.The first mounth i had it it just quit running like someone pulled the plug on it.That`s when i found this site.I then learned i had a bad cam sensor.Fixed that and it ran great up till last night.I live about 1 hour from my home and the truck ran great to work and most of the way home, but as i pulled into my town i slowed down then started to go again and had no power 0 boost.Even if i floored it it had no boost and would only go about 40.I got home let it set for about 10-15 min then went out and drove it again and it was fine again had power and lots of boost again.WHAT`S UP?Any ideas? Thanks.
If the SES wasn't on, and the engine was at normal operating temp, would a normally functioning EBPV close? Also, what condition is your air filter in??

Would a normal acting ebpv do that, no. But they do have a reputation for acting up. I can't see what the air filter would have to do with it but it never hurts to check. If you did get a SES light the only way to know would to have the codes pulled on your truck.
No lights came on,the k&n is very clean.I`m hoping it don`t do it again. So far so good. Thanks to everyone for the input.I feel better knowing there is a place to come for some help when needed.Like i said i`m real new at this diesel thing, but will say I Love the power. Thanks again.
