400 to 351c
I have been offered the opertunity to purchase a 400+hp 351C out of a 74 Torino. This is a complete engine for 800 dollars. A close family friend is selling it
Now for the question
Will this engine go into my 78 f250. i am aware i will need a different transmission, but what else will i need. Also will headers be a problem.

Headers should fit, the 351C has an inch shorter deck, so its gonna move your headers down. The C uses the same motor mounts as the 351M, so that part should fit. You'll need to find a small pattern C6 in order to bolt to your transfer case, Ford never put a 302 in a 4x4 in the 70s, so you can't get a 4x4 c4 (which would have the pattern you need).
You should be able to find that small pattern C6 in a Van or 4x4 that came with a 300/6.
