AWD Problems
I have a 1998 AWD Explorer and it appears that the AWD system is not working at all. Does anyone have any ideas as to what may be causing this problem? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

Hello Jim,
When in snow, the rear wheels will spin and not the front. This happens when just taking off or when moving and you step on the gas pedal. You can also feel the back end start to come around. Before, you could step on it and it would track relatively straight in slippery conditions.

I would go and have it check for codes. The manual has a tech starting with tests with their equipment checking pids in the computer and modules. you could check the fuses and see if any are burnt out. #'s 4, 6, 9, 10, 20, 26, 28 pull one at a time and reinstall if ok.
