Now I don't know what you guys have worng with the steering on that Jeep. It's just looks like one too many might have been involved in that bit of Budweiser style engineering or maybe he was just one toke over the line.
Now that's a true case of Redneck Engineering! Now, I have seen pitman arms relocated on front spindles before, for racing puposes, but never a job quite like that! I've blown things out my nose that looked better than those welds. Some of the comments by other posters on that board were great, and right to the point. -TD
it is one thing if he was driving on the trails so it would just break and he would be stuck but the fact that he thinks it is ok on the street that is the scariest part!!!! yea i liked some of the responses
If you liked those...Scary Steering. There is about 5 pages.(Some foul launage) There is one jeep on the 4th page that has 24 shocks, 8 leaf packs and 4 ladder bars on the rear axle.

The funniest part is that "gusset" as he calls it. It's must be there for ornamental purposes as is not a significant load path. To make matters worse, his weld quality, or lack thereof, has set the thing up for early failure. It's not a question of if it will fail, but only a matter of when. Hopefully nobody will be in his path when the inevitible happens .
