Ok, well, I've got a 4 spd. granny tranny and transfer case from an 85 Bronco.. and an 86 351w in my truck right now.. I'm not sure which ones they are exactly.. I couldn't find any tags on them. But I was hoping to find a 5 or possibly 6 spd. manual transmission that would be able to handle a heavily built 351, and if possible, still bolt up to my transfer case. I'm probably SOS as far as the transfer case goes.. but I'm not too sure as to what is available when it comes to transmissions and transfer cases. If anyone has any ideas as to what would work, I'd be happy to hear 'em.
you should be able to find a ZF 5 spd from a 4X4 that will bolt up to your engine and your trsf. case, try any of the Ford F150-250 in 4X4 from about 88 to 96.I wouldn't recommend the Mazda 5 spd as they weren't to strong.
Any of the 5spd can be made to fit but if it is from a 2wd then the trans has to be torn down and a 4X4 output shaft installed.
The diesel and 460 use a different bellhousing bolt pattern. A ZF from those engines will not fit your 351W. It would fit a 351M though.
You need one from a 351W, 302, or 300 inline-6. You're most likely to find the ZF in an F250 or F350. The F150 could have either the M5OD or the ZF. The transfer case in your Bronco is probably an NP208. It should be able to hook up to a 4wd ZF. The 4-speed in your Bronco should be either a T-18 or an NP435.
