Wiring Clearence Lights

I just installed some clearence lights for my '90 F-150 and now I need to wire them to the truck. It comes with a toggle switch, but I don't know where to hook the toggle switch to. My junior mechanic buddy tried to wire them so they come on with the headlights, but we could not find the headlight + for the life of us. It's not important, I can take it back to him and spend and afternoon someday and figure it out, but any info would be great. Thanks.

The connection is located behind the insrument cluster on the left hand side of dash. This places it close to the door pillar where the wire runs through to the roof.
The connection used to be Brown (70's) but may have changed.

It's a straight plug in to the running light circuit.

It's still the brown wire in the 90's.
