I have a 1999 F-150. I ran to the store, forgot something, turned around and came back. I shut the truck off to go inside and when I came out and tried to start it nothing. It didnt turn over at all, and had a clicking under the dash, then nothing, no power to anything.
I checked the fuzes and found the power point fuze in the power distribution box blown, I replaced it and still nothing. I checked the volts, and am getting power to the starter and alternator, and no other fuzes are blown, but I get no lights and the truck won't start. Any suggestions

Your truck is newer, so I am not as familiar with the wiring. In the older trucks they did not have the underhood fuse box, just fusible links in the wiring. I don't know if they totally eliminated the fusible links in the newer trucks, but if they still have a few under there, one of them might be blown.
See if you can trace how the truck is powered. On the older trucks they had a wire hooked to the starter relay large post(the one that goes to the battery +). This wire had a fusible link in it. Down from this wire there were other wires spliced in with fusible links, and this is where the ignition and the fuse box was fed, and the alt was tied in there too.
What Kind of voltage are you talking about? i.e. Testlight or actual reading. Also, being a 99 do you still have the original battery. My last truck a 98, if it sat for 2 or 3 days without being started, the battery would die. Replaced the battery and problem went away. Also, there may be some corrosion around the post. Have you tried pulling the cables off then putting them back on?
I'm also having a similar problem. I turned my '89 F-150 off, and when I went to start it, I heard the starter chug once, then the stereo, lights (dash, head, tail) all went out. no power at all. battery reads 12.7 amps. fuses all appear to be good, even checked voltage in fuses, and ohms through fuses. I just fixed the clutch safety switch, started cilinoud(on steering column), and the metal horseshoe in the steering column. New starter about 2 months ago. I think a new alternator in the last year. Thanks

Reason: forgot truck info

Sounds like you have a bad connection at the battery terminals, end of the ground wire that bolts to the block, or the other end of the battery positive that hooks to the starter relay.
