TFI ignition problem - no spaark
I am trying to determine if my stator is OK for my 1985 Ford F-150 300 six's distributor. I went through the shop manual check list and it appears that the stator is the culprit. I was driving along and it just quite. It does not have spark. I changed the TFI module and no difference. I removed the distributor and stator assembly. I am not a whiz on electrics so I need advice in checking the unit to see if it is bad or not.

Since the dizzy is out, try taking it to Auto Zone to have them test it. Their parts may be crap, but they test for free. Then, go to Napa and get the part you need.
