No. A 92-up dash WON'T fit a pre-92 firewall. The sheet metal is bent differently.
To fit the 87-91 steering wheel, I removed the original, slipped the replacement on, and tightened the nut.
Really, that's all there is to it. The only catch is you have to use the same type horn pad as your column originally had; if you have a cruise column, you have to put a cruise horn pad on the replacement wheel, but you can use any wheel from pre-80 to 91 on columns from the same range. 92-up columns are totally different and require specific wheels.
