I have a '05 PSD CC 4x4 w/ 6,000 miles. This is my third PSD and I love it. But is anyone else experiencing: 1. Engine hesitation between shifts, 2. a creaking/vibration when turning the wheel. Any info on these will be greatly appreciated.

The hesitation you are talking about is generally called "torque management".
The factory program limits power at the shift, and they get really carried away with this.
An aftermarket tuning device will generally cure the issue, provided it is actually a flash programmer and not an inline device.
Yes of course you do.... I have experienced this and have asked the dealer about it many times with no answer except to replace the 1-2 shift solenoid and tell me some run around about excessive grease during original assembly. When I take off at 50-80 percent throttle or so, it will hesitate when shifting from 1st to 2nd ONLY just like I took my foot off the throttle for a second then back down. It's quite annoying after a while. The dealer doesn't seem to be able to do anything else about it and I'm glad someone has finally told me a real reason for it that sounds more realistic than "too much grease" after 16,000 miles. Thanks Vic. Mat
My 05 does the same shifting delay - wondered what it was - did not really think anything was wrong, but still wondered. I have the groan occassionally when turning to either left or right, usually when almost to the max. Not very often - suggest checking the power sterring fluid. Mine as really low and now that it is full, things have improved. Also have seen other posts on the "groan" and it appears this is something Ford knows about, but has not pinpointed the exact cause or fix.
