If I remember correctly... Hopefully someone can confirm.
The top line will match, The bottom line (the dimple that goes across the bottom and over the wheelwells) does not exist on the 88. Won't look bad, but it will be obvious that it has been swapped for someone who knows about it.
Tailgate and tailights are different.
you will not be able to use the 83 tailgate in the 88, so make sure it comes with a good tailgate.
advantages are that the 88 tailgate has a mutch better latching system. Works alot smoother than the 80-86 style.
