I have a 84 f 250 with a 460 in it it had electric pumps in the fuel tank and a mechanical one on the motor the tank pumps dont work at all and my truck runs great on just the mechanical pump it had the stock carb on it when I got it and if you let sit for a week it would be hard to start I put on a new 750 holley and now it dosnt matter how long it sits she fires right up and runs great.
