If its not the fuel pump...then what?

I have a 1991 Ranger 3.0 V-6 which has always run great. The other day it started just fine but when the engine warmed up it quit abruptly and would not restart. The following morning when the engine as cold, it started right up but cut off again as soon as the engine warmed up. I was suspicious of the fuel pump since the fuel gauge had quit working also. I disconnected the fuel line at the fuel filter, cranked it and no gas was coming from the tank. I replaced the fuel pump and fuel filter. It cranked right up and as soon as the engine warmed up it cut off and would not restart. Any suggestions?
Thanks

Welcome to FTE!

How about the fuel pressure, did you get chance to measure it? Maybe a faulty fuel pressure regulator? When it dies on you like that, pull the vacuum hose off the FPR and look for fuel.

I would bet that one or more trouble codes have been stored in the computer. You should pull the codes and post them here, you don't need any special tools to do it:
