me again I'm looking to update my interior, I have a 1986 F-150, I want to replace the dash door panels well everything, its all red and i want it gray, I painted the truck *blace* You meant Black, right so i think it would be cool. what about a dsah from a 87-89, i think they changed from 86 right? also power windows gotta have those. what about seats like from a 2000 F-150 will the bolts line up? what do you think the total cost would be and do you suggest a place to shop?
You can go as late as '96 on the door panels IF you change the vent windows, but the dash can't be newer than '91. '97-up seats probably won't fit directly, but they're usually easy to modify.
Here's what I did to mine:

Did you look at mine & read the captions? You have to click on a thumbnail to read them. Then you can navigate thru the pics with the pulldown list or the << < > >> buttons.
I'd stay with the '80-86 dash, but go to the '92-96 door panels if you can afford them AND the vent windows. If not, I'd stick with '80-86 door panels - the '87-91s are slightly better than '80-86, but not enough to be worth the hassle of changing.
