I have a 97 F-150 Ext Cab. I have electrical problems ranging from the overdrive not working to GEM module getting wet and cuasing the truck to do wierd things. I know that I have a leak on the drivers side of the windshield. I was just wondering if anyone ahs similar problems and if it causes damage to other components. Any info would be helpfull. Thanks
Matt

Quite often when the windshield leaks it will ruin the GEM and the fuse box. The GEM is attached to the back of the fuse box. Common problems are the heater staying on, 4x4 problems, power window problems etc.
The most important thing is to get the windshield resealed before replacing any parts so it doesn't happen again. Any glass or body shop can remove the windshiled and reseal it.
