KYFord asked what the ratio of 4.6 to 5.4L engines is and that got me wondering what the ratio is on here, among our users. So no one feels left out I put all 3 engines in the poll.
The 4.6L with the 5 speed MANUAL tranny. I don't tow anything over 3,000 lbs so I don't NEED the auto tranny. Plus luckly so far I don't have to commute in bumper to bumper traffic. If I did I'd have an auto tranny. But I'm old and old fashioned. The good Lord gave us a left foot for the clutch to use in shifting a manual tranny .
yick... please tell me u got the V8! lol in all honesty, i think you will regret the trade later... the truck is so much nicer even with the V6... i of course have a 4.6L

I dunno.... The truck was great for a lot of things, but for the most part, I used it simply to haul myself to work, and I was averaging about 14 mpg, which was driving me nuts. Especially since my truck was fully unloaded, and it couldn't fall out of a tree fast. In my opinion, the new mustang is really great. Especially considering I got a fully loaded V6 mustang for less than I paid for my fully stripped F150!
yeah, in the world of cars its a good decision, guess you cant go wrong brand new, but what about in a few years? V6s usually have a higher tendancy to break down... just because they arent built with the same precision as the V8.. plus i think if you are gonna get a mustang, might as well at least have a nice toy to play with cams, intakes, headers, full exhaust, ECM tuning, drag radials... the list goes on... and they sound so nice too as a chevy man i am very biased against mustangs, but i have to admit they sound the best when they have the right exhaust... better than any camaro... all you need is an X pipe and a set of 40 series flows... those things sound horribly insane
why would anyone want a manual in a truck? unless you are hauling HEAVY payloads or something... wouldnt the auto better suit the purpose of a nice vehicle? i mean its to my knowledge that unless you are racing (stock, or close to stock vehicles anyways... well built autos are always the best for drag...) or hauling loads that would normally shatter an auto, manuals are less useful... anyone know why the manual in a truck is the better option?
