I put Napa ceramic pads and new rotors on my 03 expy about a week ago. I can only use one word to describe them.
SWEET!!!
No dust, no noise, just stop. If you are considering making the switch, do it. You will not regret it.
Also my rotors fell off.....They were not rusted on. A tip, when installing new rotors put some high temp waterproof grease on the back of the rotors where they meet the hub. They won't stick next time.
Are the Ceramic brake pads the best you can buy? I don't need new pads yet but when I do, I'm gonna want the best pad that produce the least dust, however, my factory pads on my '03 do not produce near as much brake dust as most peoples.
The part number is CMX-7837. They were cheaper at the local store than online.
Are they the best pads available, I have no idea.
They don't dust anywhere near metallic pads. It is about the same amount of dust/dirt that accumulates on the rears. Which could be brake dust or just everyday grime, can't really tell. They don't have any problems when they are cold. They are not supposed to tear up rotors. Pedal feel is about the same. They stop really smooth.
