Hello all and thanks for all the good information I have found here. I have a problem that I can’t seem to find an answer for by searching the forums so here goes.
I have a 2001 F250 and have made no mods to the headlights. Last night my headlights wouldn’t turn on. I have parking lights and fog lights and the pass to flash will still blink the lights but I have no low or high beam lights. I have checked all the relays and fuses and tried to check out all the wiring that I could easily trace and can find no problems. My guess is the switch is going bad but thought someone here might have some other ideas as well. And as usual the dealership is telling me leave it and in 3-4 days they will take a look at it.
I went back and rechecked everything again and found that I did not have flash to pass high beams after all so I decided to check the headlight bulbs. Some how both bulbs burned out at the same time and burned both the high and low filaments at the same time. I had a spare set on hand and all is right with the world again. I wonder what the odds of burning both bulbs sat the same time are? Until I find out I am off to play the lottery because I bet the odds are better of wining than having this happen again.
