truck will not start

got a 87 ranger. won't crank got new battery,still nothing. there is a buzzing noise in the right front fender when i try to crank it. can anyone help me?

check connections to the starter solenoid.

truck will not start

yea,i got a new solenoid and i just took it off and put it back on by looking at directions,but i still have that buzzing sound. think the solenoid could be bad? also it won't even crank off a jump start. thanks

the buzzing sound is more than likely the fuel pump. when you turn the key does the relay even kick in and out?

Ok, try this...the old start-it-up with a screwdriver... Get you a screwdriver. Now, on your starter solenoid, there's two terminals. With the screwdriver, make contact with both of them.

If engine starts, you have a bad solenoid. If it buzzes, starter is bad.
