Good Day,
I just bought a 2005 F150 with a am/fm stereo, I purchased a new am/fm w/cd out of a 2004 F150 and went to put it in and found out that I only have one of the needed jacks (the main one). When turned on the rear speakers were highly distorted and my air bag light stayed lit on the dash?? Where is the second plug?? How or can I make this one work in my truck?? The CD worked but the sound is terrible....
Thanks

just for clarification, is it the new radio that has two plugs or is it the wiring harness for your truck that has two plugs. if it is the radio, i would say that you bought an audiophile radio but your truck isn't wired for it.
as far as the airbag light. is it the one in the instrument cluster or center dash? did you remember to plug it back in? you needed to unplug it to remove the trim to get to the radio. i did this when i changed out my radio. i put everything back together and realized that my airbag light (center dash) was on. i had forgotten to plug it back in. just a thought.
thanks for the info, it's the radio that has two plugs and it is the yellow light on the instrument panel that stayed on until I put the original radio back in...
Thanks Again, I guess I am SOL with a new radio....live and learn....
If you bought the Audiophile, no bass will be coming from the speakers because you don't have a subwoofer. I swapped mine out single cd to 6 disc no problem. You might have the Audiophile head unit - I'm sure that there is a way to tell but I don't know the difference.
