i have an 85 bronco that i am selling for parts- its has a efi 302 engine, a 3 speed AOD transmission, and borg warner 1345 transfer case. a guy with a 95 f150 wants to know if the transfer case and the transmission(a 3 speed auto) will fit in his truck. any help would be appreciated.

Fit? Yes, if he has a small block (255 289 302 351W 300)
engine in his truck. He may need to change the position
and/or orientation of the crossmember under the transmission
and he may need different driveshafts to match up with the
different drivetrain components.

I too have a question. I have purchased a 92 f150 with a 5.8 and i am questioning the engine and transmission. I have just found a 96 bronco with a 302 and has a fresh e4od in it and was wondering what i may be able to scavenge off the bronco for the truck (truck has minor things like power window issues nothing im too worried about). Ive been looking for info and so far this thread has been the closest. Im gonna say as long as i pull the computer and everything for the engine and transmission it should be a simple pull the old one out of the truck and put the bronco drivetrain in? Appreciate any all the info anyone has to offer on this.

I believe you are on the right track, but there may be some things that stop this, like not having a place for the speedometer cable. You might get a better answer in the proper forum, you are in the 80-86 section.

Any year 4x4 Ford transmission will bolt up to any Ford, any year, transfer case except the later 6 speed stuff.

You can bolt up a 2x4 trans to the transfer case, and they cannot be converted without tearing the whole trans down and getting the correct 4x4 parts.

"You can bolt up a 2x4 trans to the transfer case."
I believe you meant "can't" bolt up a 2x4 trans to a transfer case, right
