Anyone have any problems with this thing? We had some icy weather yesterday and my sensor was giving a solid tone when in reverse. I thought that it may have just been ice on the sensors, but when I checked, the sensors were clear. Late today, the problem seemed to fix itself. Could ice have formed inside the sensors? Anything I may be missing?
You may want to do a forum/site search on this. I recall that there were some comments about ice forming inside the sensors (this may have been on other vehicle types vs. the SD). Ice on the outside does the same thing I believe.

Yep appears to be normal. Up here the sensors haven't worked yet. Too much snow, ice and frost.
I like mine too. I have noticed that you get a constant alarm when the tailgate is down. Other than that, they work well. Of course my truck is garaged when not in use, so there shouldn't be any build up.
Mine apparently freezes up too. Usually when accompanied by a snow fall, the sensors stay on. The first time, it spooked me as I thought I was about to have a collision, like a kid or something. Have since accepted the fact that I just gotta turn it off in cold snowy weather.
There is a round button on the dash facing you in the cockpit. I'll go out side and look exactly where it is but it is to the right of the steering wheel.
Yea, the round button just over the upfitter switches and integrated trailor brake controler (if equipped). It has a "P" and an arrow. Just push it once and it will bipass the sensors. Push it again and it turns back on.

yeah, I feel stupid now. I forgot that was there. Thanks!
Probably a stupid question but why does it have a "P" on the button if it's for the reverse vehicle sensor? Keep in mind that I don't have a new Ford with that option....yet.
