Is so confused

Okay this about last sunday when i thought something broke well today i locked it in put in 4 low 1st gear and walked along side it looking at the right side nuckle watching the ujoints turn and it does like to pull to the right a lil so now it's working and plus i did a patch job put in a toggler switch so my fan will work. Now i have heat so i'm stumped on why the front wasn't working after trying to pull that Toy out. Also i took the lockout off and checked the teeth they are good some worn teeth but they are in great shape. and no plastic cept center piece to lock and unlock the hubs. Still i need to have some watch while i drive or have them do it while i watch just to be sure. Okay i had a friend watch and well it's not working the drive shaft turns the axles turn cause i saw them turning at the ujoints so i'm gonna pull the cover on the differential and turn the tires seeing what turns and doesn't turn in the pumkin.

The easy way is to lock in the hubs and put the t-case in neutral then grab ahold of the front drive shaft and try and turn it. what kind of axle you got under it, does it have a vacume center disconect???

Okay locked the hubs in and put the transfer case in nutreul climbed under it and tried to turn the front ds only turned about half way i could see the nuckles turn a lil unlocked the hubs and did the same everything turned easley. So i think i might have to take the hubs apart and check them throughly.

But if the hubs are locked in with everything in nutreul and the tires are on the ground then the front ds and axles won't turn freely Correct? Because wouldn't you physically being trying to turn the tires by hand?

Right, so if you can turn the shaft with the hubs locked in and tires on the ground then your not getting power to the tires. Since you said you can see the outer knuckles turning then the problem has to be in the hubs somewhere.

Sounds to me like the hubs are working correctly.

Nodz i am thinking that i might have broken something in the Differential so tomorrow when it is warmer i will pull the cover and look to see if anything has snapped ,sheared off. Since i was informed that the spider gears are a weal link i'll look at them closely.

If you had the truck on stands and then tried your test. You might hear grinding or feel resistance. Spiders shed teeth like a 4 year old on some vehicles.

Oversize tires and romping it on turns compounds the destruction.

Okay since i'm not to versed in what certain gears are called in the pumpkin the gear on the left axle shaft is very torn up teeth are missing then the i think what they call the spider gears one is definately ruined and looks like a metal plate behind pinion gear is ripped into on the left bottom. Does anyone know how to get ahold of Digger ? cause i think i'm gonna need his expert help since he has dealt with Dana44.
